Welcome to Georgia Murphy Online Counselling (“we”, “us”, or “our”). These Terms & Conditions govern your use of this website and your participation in our online counselling services. By accessing this website and/or booking a session, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use this website or our services.

Nature of Service

We provide professional counselling services to adult individuals via secure telehealth platforms (e.g., Zoom or an encrypted client portal). These services are not intended as a substitute for medical, psychiatric, or crisis intervention services. If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, please contact emergency services in your country.

Eligibility

By using our services, you confirm that:

  • You are at least 18 years old.
  • You are accessing services voluntarily.
  • You reside in a location where online counselling is legally permitted.
  • You understand the risks and limitations of telehealth counselling.

Booking & Payment

Sessions must be booked in advance through our online booking system. Payment is required at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed in writing.

All prices are listed in USD and may be subject to change with prior notice.

Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

Your appointment time is reserved especially for you. We ask that you respect our time and the time of other clients.

Cancellations or rescheduling require at least 24 hours’ notice.

  • If you cancel with more than 24 hours’ notice: You may reschedule or receive a full refund.
  • If you cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice or do not attend your appointment: The full session fee will be charged, and no refund will be issued.
  • Exceptions for emergencies or extenuating circumstances may be considered at the discretion of the counsellor.

You may cancel or reschedule via email or the online booking system.

Confidentiality & Privacy

All counselling sessions are confidential, in accordance with the Australian Counselling Association Code of Ethics and relevant privacy legislation (including the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth)). Please refer to our Privacy Policy for more information about how your data is stored, used, and protected.

Technology & Limitations

You are responsible for ensuring a stable internet connection and a private, quiet space during sessions.

We are not responsible for technical difficulties beyond our control (e.g., power outages, internet failures). In the event of a disruption, we will attempt to reconnect or reschedule at no additional cost.

Termination of Services

We reserve the right to terminate counselling services if:

  • There is a conflict of interest.
  • Counselling is deemed inappropriate for your needs.
  • Terms of service are violated.

In such cases, we will make every effort to refer you to appropriate alternative services.

Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including written material, blog posts, handouts, and resources, is the intellectual property of Georgia Murphy Online Counselling and may not be copied, distributed, or reused without written permission.

Limitation of Liability

While we take all reasonable care in delivering services, we do not guarantee specific outcomes. You agree that you use our services at your own risk and that we are not liable for any damages or losses resulting from your use of our website or services.
