Let me introduce myself

My clients

I primarily work with adults who are living abroad, and who are experiencing challenges related to changes in their sense of self and identity, relationship challenges, cross cultural adaptation, and decision making.

Grief, stress, burnout, and self-worth are also common issues my clients struggle with. Together, we build on your inner strengths to work towards clarity, resilience, and a deeper sense of self.

My story and my approach

I’m Georgia, an Australian counsellor with a background in psychology and a Master’s in Counselling. My path here has been anything but linear. For nearly a decade, I lived and worked overseas, including years in Cambodia where I worked in international development and eventually built two of my own small businesses from the ground up.

I know what it means to follow a calling, take risks, and start over, and how isolating that can feel, even when you’ve chosen it for yourself.

Now based in Guatemala, I support internationals living abroad including expats, digital nomads, migrants, students, and globally mobile professionals, who are navigating the emotional complexity of life in unfamiliar places.

My approach collaborative and non-pathologising. I believe you are the expert on your own life, even if things feel messy right now. Our work together is not about fixing you, but about reconnecting with your strengths, values, and sense of meaning.

Freqently Asked Questions

What is counselling?

Counselling is a collaborative, confidential process where a qualified professional supports you to explore challenges, emotions, and patterns in a safe, non-judgmental space. It’s not about giving advice, it’s about helping you gain clarity, build self-awareness, and find your own way forward.

I am a qualified counsellor with a Master of Counselling from the University of Canberra in Australia, and a Bachelor of Psychology from the University of Tasmania, Australia.

Online counselling offers a flexible, accessible, and effective way to receive support, no matter where you are in the world. At a designated time, we meet via a secure video call from the comfort of your own home. Sessions are typically 50 minutes long and take place weekly or fortnightly, depending on your needs.
